Laser Hair Removal | Safe and effective method for permanent reduction

Laser Hair Removal | Safe and effective method for permanent reduction

Laser hair removal is one of the most effective non-invasive treatments for long-term reduction of unwanted facial and body hair. The procedure uses advanced laser energy to target hair follicles with precision, gradually reducing hair density, thickness, and regrowth while leaving the skin smoother and more even in texture. Laser hair removal is a safe, fast, and effective treatment suitable for multiple areas of the body, with noticeable results achieved over a series of treatment sessions.

  • Provides gradual, long-term reduction of unwanted hair growth
  • Helps achieve smoother, softer, and more even-looking skin
  • Suitable for a wide range of facial and body areas
  • Reduces common shaving-related concerns such as irritation and ingrown hairs
  • Quick treatment sessions with minimal discomfort
  • Safe, non-surgical procedure with little to no downtime

Laser hair removal is an excellent option for individuals seeking an effective, long-lasting solution for unwanted hair reduction. The number of treatment sessions, treatment intervals, and expected results are determined by the physician or laser specialist based on each patient's skin type, hair color, hair thickness, and individual characteristics to ensure optimal results while maintaining skin health.

Treatment Care

  • With advances in laser technology and equipment, severe and unpredictable side effects are now very uncommon.
  • Individuals with dark, thick, and dense hair may experience mild pain or a burning sensation during laser treatment.
  • The initial effects of laser hair removal are usually noticeable within two weeks after treatment.
  • After this period, the treated hairs become weaker and shed naturally. With each subsequent laser session, hair becomes finer and its density decreases.
  • During the treatment period, hair should only be shaved or removed with depilatory cream. Avoid plucking, threading, and waxing, as removing hair from the root eliminates the melanin target required for laser energy, significantly reducing treatment effectiveness.
  • Between laser sessions, avoid sun exposure to prevent skin color changes such as hyperpigmentation or hypopigmentation. Avoiding sunlight before and after treatment helps prevent melanocyte stimulation and unwanted pigmentation changes. It is recommended to avoid direct sun exposure for 4–6 weeks before and after treatment and use sunscreen regularly.
  • Laser treatment is most effective when the hair is darker and thicker and the skin is lighter. Most laser systems have limited effectiveness on blonde or light-colored hair and may reduce approximately 30–40% of such hair.
  • Currently, no laser treatment is effective on completely white hair.
  • To achieve optimal results, usually 4–8 laser treatment sessions are required. To help prevent regrowth in the treated area, maintenance sessions are recommended every 6–12 months.
  • Although laser hair removal is considered safe, it is generally recommended to avoid treatment during pregnancy.
  • Most individuals experience no side effects; however, rare temporary and reversible skin color changes may occur.
  • Laser hair removal does not permanently eliminate all hair. After completing treatment sessions, approximately 80% of unwanted hair may be reduced, and remaining hair is usually finer and lighter.
  • Avoid using exfoliating products on the treated area, as they may thin and irritate the skin.
  • Avoid washing the treated area with hot water during the first 24 hours. Washing with lukewarm or cool water is acceptable.
  • Avoid using washcloths or exfoliating scrubs on the treated area during the first 3 days.
  • Do not tan your skin between laser treatment sessions.
  • Small black dots may appear on the skin after laser treatment. These are remnants of treated hair roots and will gradually shed naturally.
  • Avoid swimming in chlorinated pools and using saunas for one week after treatment.
